About Eureka

Eureka is a journal published annually by The Archimedeans, the mathematical society of Cambridge University. It includes mathematical articles on a variety of different topics - written by students and mathematicians from all over the world - as well as a short summary of the activities of the society, problems and puzzles, artwork and book reviews.

Eureka has been published 64 times since 1939, and authors include luminaries such as Nobel Laureate Paul Dirac, Fields Medallist Timothy Gowers, as well as Paul Erdos, Godfrey Hardy, John Conway, Martin Gardner, Roger Penrose, Ian Stewart, Stephen Hawking and many more.

Eureka is distributed free of charge to all members of The Archimedeans (up to three issues per member), which are most undergraduate mathematics students in Cambridge. In addition we have many subscriptions by other students in the UK, as well as alumni and libraries all over the world.

Eureka is about 90 pages long, perfect bound, and has a print run of about 1000 copies. Advertising in Eureka is a truly unique opportunity to reach some of the best students in Cambridge as part of a highly regarded publication.

How you can support us

The Archimedeans is a non-profit organisation. All editorial work is done by volunteers, but the Archimedeans membership fees don't cover the whole cost of printing. We offer the following advertising possibilities:

full page 174mm x 247mm
half page 138mm x 102mm

The journal is printed in full colour. We ask sponsors to submit adverts as PDF or TIFF files with an image resolution of at least 300 dpi and in CMYK colour mode. Adverts that aren't submitted in the correct size may have to be cropped. In addition to advertising within the journal, we are happy to distribute promotional flyers, no larger than A5, together with the journal. Please contact us for more details.
